Real Time Graphics provide news and analysis related to virtual
reality and simulation for over ten years. It ultimately fell victim to
dwindling circulation. The simulation industry consolidated
considerable during the lifetime publication, so that while simulation
remains a vital and growing technology, the market for a newletter
diminished substantially. The virtual reality industry bloomed in
the mid nineties and subsequently died as fast as it grew. The
irony is that the fascination with the applications ended at about the
time that graphics technology started to provide viable support at a
reasonable price. VR will make a comeback, we believe, but
slowly, as compelling practical applications come to light. The
location-based entertainment business grew as part of the dot-com boom,
and went bust accordingly. The potential there may one day be
re-discovered. Finally, we note that the entire newsletter
industry has suffered with the growth of the internet. Times change.
We thank our many loyal subscribers and supporters over the years.
