We took a one-day bus tour having some fanciful name like "Outback Adventure". The wilderness experience was this lovely trail a bit over a mile long, all down hill, and wheelchair accessible. Glad I was able to to live up to the challenge.
I was struck by how many of the native Australian plants had been imported to California. Eucalyptis and bottle bush are common in California. However, Australia has hundreds of species of bottle bush, while California seems to have gotten only a particular red variety. The trail had a number of varieties of yellow bottle bush.

This bright mural decorated a walkway from a parking area to the main street.
These photographs were taken in Blue Mountains in March of 1997 using
a handheld Noblex 150 panoramic camera and Konica 200 film.
