Nakajima Park, Sapporo, Japan

This beautiful city park is located within the city of Sapporo. The park is quiet on weekday mornings.

The park is large and is home to a number of public buildings and city facilities. In the winter, there are ski runs through the park. The plan of the park is shown on the map below, which was photographed at one on the entrances.

If you have a good net connection and would like to see more detail, here are 1280 (220KB) and 2000 (740KB) pixel wide versions of the map.

In May, when these pictures were taken, the park is adorned with wysteria, azaleas, and liliacs. With the artful arrangement of water, bridges, and foot paths every view makes a good picture.

A very large (711KB) version of the image is available if you have a large monitor. The duck was kind enough to land when I had my camera ready.
