Innovation
Inventions conceived and developed by CGSD under contract ordinarily become
the property of the sponsoring organization. These have included new
graphics technology, such as a method for accurately simulating smoke and
clouds.
Other CGSD innovations have been subjects of U.S. government research
grants. These include a method for providing feedback for the sense of touch
in virtual worlds.
